17/2: Optiweigh & Halter Demo Day – In-Paddock Weighing and Virtual Fencing
Optiweigh and Halter are hosting a livestock technology demo day in Corryong, showcasing in-paddock livestock weighing and virtual fencing solutions for sheep and cattle producers. This on-farm demo will show how producers can collect real-time livestock weight data without yarding, reduce labour and handling stress, and improve grazing management using Halter’s virtual fencing and herd management system.

18/2 Bonegilla + 19/2 Benalla: Productivity Options in Agriculture with Cam Nicholson
A practical livestock productivity workshop for beef and sheep producers focused on improving profitability and sustainability. This one-day session will cover a small number of high-impact management levers that help producers make better use of feed, livestock and labour. Topics include grazing system design, fertility, turn-off timing, emissions reduction and herd performance. Cam Nicholson, Director of Nicon Rural Services, has 35+ years’ experience in pasture, soil and livestock systems. Cam works extensively with beef, sheep and mixed farming enterprises and delivers practical, evidence-based advice.
We’ll be on hand to showcase how Optiweigh provides real-time, in-paddock livestock weights to support smarter management decisions without regular yarding.
