saddling up for a great cause: the Great Australian Charity Cattle Drive

We’re passionate about supporting the Australian agricultural community and giving back and we’re looking forward to supporting a truly unique and inspiring event. The Great Australian Charity Cattle Drive is an incredible opportunity and hats off to the driving force Bim Struss, Chairman of the GACCD and Director of BeefBank.

It’s more than just a cattle drive; it’s a journey with a purpose, bringing together the spirit of the outback with a powerful commitment to raising vital funds and awareness for food insecurity for Queenslanders.

Starting on May 18 in Longreach and finishing in Roma on August 6, the team will drive 2000 steers 775km over 85 days.

We’re thrilled to be playing a small part by providing one of our cattle weighing units for use throughout. This will help the team to accurately monitor weight and condition along the journey and a dedicated web page will be available via the Optiweigh site to track the mob and provide weight gain insights.

At the end of the event, the Unit will be auctioned off at the end of the event with proceeds to the charity. Max from Optiweigh’s Sales Team will be on hand (and on a horse) for the last leg of the drive into Roma.
